With Our Neighbors is the result of Cumberland Community Church’s longtime commitment to demonstrate the love of Jesus by serving our local community. God’s light cannot be contained inside of a church building. It is intended to shine for ALL to see.  With this belief, the church made a physical move in 2019 to the heart of our community in Smyrna, GA. This move allowed us to have more visibility and created the opportunity for deeper connections and stronger partnerships with our neighbors.

Prior to moving to the new campus, we conducted a felt-needs and assets survey within a three mile radius of our new location. The results revealed what residents, business owners, and community leaders identified as concerns and challenges, and also enabled us to see how the community wanted to contribute towards creating a better future.

This awareness is extremely important in our approach to holistic community development.  It is essential to partner with members of the community, including other churches and organizations; to work together to meet needs, solve problems, and build towards sustainability.

Soon after the move, our local missions opportunities expanded during the pandemic and enabled us to be a light during dark and uncertain times. Since then our opportunities have continued to broaden and prompted us to formally establish With Our Neighbors (WON) as a partnering entity to magnify impact in our community and throughout Cobb County. 

WON allows everyone around us to see, experience, and contribute to good news in our community on a daily basis. We invite you to join us in pursuing the common good with our neighbors.
